Meet with John and City Center NOVA residents and friends every Tuesday, weather permitting, from 4-5 pm for a shared reading of Harry Potter, book one.
Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

We're reading The Sympathizer by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Join our book club to listen to our volunteer Finn Jensen read to the group. The OSG Book Club meets every Tuesday at 7 PM. Our OSG Queen's Court community is getting together on the first Wednesday of every month to enjoy dinner together. Join OSG in a yoga flow led by our friend Ania Sowińska. This will be an adaptive yoga practice that focuses on the individual needs of each individual rather than forcing positions. We'll meet at Gilliam Place in the community room, please bring your own yoga mat. All are welcome, however, we have a limit of 8 people so please register below as soon as possible. Join OSG in a musical event where we’ll play drums and create rhythm together. Participants will get a chance to express themselves by playing a multitude of percussive instruments, while also creating a communal sound. Drum circles are known to relieve stress, create community, and… it's just fun to hit a drum! Join our Queens Court community for a monthly walk around the neighborhood and local trails. We will meet in the Queens Court lobby. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and feel free to bring a friend! Please RSVP below so we have a headcount.
Join us for a weekly virtual meet-up for adults between the age of 18-35. Each week we'll discuss a different topic such as getting out of your comfort zone or learning to work with others. All you need is yourself, a snack, and an open mind to hop online and connect with old and new friends. Meet-ups are hosted every Monday at 5:00 PM by Social Grace and registration is free - just sign up, sign on and have fun.
This week for our Social Justice Club, we're discussing the movie Invictus. The story is based on the 2008 John Carlin book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation about the events in South Africa before and during the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
