Navigating local transportation systems such as buses and the Metro, is key to enjoying that sense of freedom most of us take for granted. Learning to ride a bike is equally important, which is why we’re thrilled to be partnering with BikeArlington, who are helping our adults learn to ride bikes, use the local bike share, and encourage confidence on wheels.

So far we’ve co-hosted two bicycle education events at our Queens Court and Gilliam Place communities. Everyone who attended received a fantastic discount on an annual Capital Bikeshare membership – only $5 for the year compared to $95! We’re extremely proud of our members whose confidence is growing as well as their independence to explore their local neighborhoods.
