July Gilliam Update

Sunday morning grocery delivery:

Everyone in Gilliam Place  has been enjoying the ongoing generosity from our good friends and neighbors at the Arlington Presbyterian Church (APC). The church worked with Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization, APAH, and the farmer’s from the Columbia Pike Farmer Market to provide an assorted and bounteous box of produce to be distributed to every family in the building first thing on Sunday mornings throughout the summer.

Our residents look forward to picking up the box and exploring new vegetables and recipes through the week.  We are still recruiting volunteers to help with distribution from 9-11 AM on Sunday mornings through Labor Day. Please let us know if you would be interested in volunteering!

And THANK YOU to all of our friends at APC!

Tutoring to go online this summer!
As Virginia moves into Phase Three of the CoVID Response, our team of volunteers is preparing to support our families in the building with online tutoring supports. We hope to launch in July. Stay tuned for more details.

Good Luck and Fond Farewell!
Two of our members are saying goodbye to their roommates as they leave us to continue their studies this fall. Thanks for being such a great part of the team and helping make the transition into apartment living a successful one. We will miss Brad McGann and Thuy Vuong but are excited for this next chapter in your lives.
Meet our new roommates later this summer!!

Daily Walk

During these days and months of social distancing, we are continuing with our daily walks exploring our new community. Hope you can come join us soon.
