June Gilliam Place Update
An update on our community at Gilliam Place from our Program Director Donna Budway:
We are happy to report that all of our members are well and settling into the new normal at Gilliam Place. Several of our residents returned home to shelter with their families but almost everyone is back in their apartments now. While almost all of our activities have moved online for the duration of the COVID lockdown, we have been able to continue with our daily social distancing walks which have kept us connected.
Some of our friends will be getting new roommates as we move into summer and we are looking forward to welcoming them to our team in July. Good luck and a fond farewell to Brad McGann (law school) and Thuy Vuong (medical school) – we are going to miss you!!!
Please stay tuned for updates when everything reopens in Arlington. We are very anxious to start hosting activities and an open house as soon as it is safe for us to meet again.
