Spotlight on Our New Team Members
This past month, we had three new members join our City Center NOVA team! Read on for more about Maria Booker, Fredda Hurwitz, and Amanda Tinkleman.
Maria Booker
Hailed as a “Northern Virginian of the Year” by Northern Virginia Magazine in 2019, and the inaugural story behind her Alma Maters “Inspiring Leaders Initiative”, Maria Booker is an innovative community relationship builder with over 10 years’ experience supporting the Greater Washington non-profit community (Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Metropolitan Maryland). Booker has a dedicated track record of setting non-profit organizations on the right path by evaluating funding needs, increasing annual revenues; connecting fund seekers to multi- year public/private partnerships; building and enhancing grant portfolios and providing strategy consulting for organizations and prospective donors.
Fredda Hurwitz
Fredda is an inspirational leader, brand strategist and solutions-oriented marketer. Originally from Boston, MA, life after her studies at the University of California Berkeley led to an eight-year stint in Paris and 20+ years in London, working for a foray of global brands and agencies: Disney, NFL International, Octagon, OgilvyOne, Momentum, and Havas Sports & Entertainment, just to name a few. In 2017, Fredda set up her own brand consultancy, Gingernut Thinking, which turned out to be the stepping stone that brought her back to the U.S. year’s later at the Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer for RedPeg in Alexandria, VA.
She a great appreciation for Grey Goose and cranberry (or champagne when no vodka is around), traveling, good food and wine, The Princess Bride (it never gets old), books you can’t put down and giggling with her gorgeous daughter Ella and my ball-of-energy son Noah.
Amanda Tinkleman
Amanda is a digital marketing professional, with a background in social and digital media through her roles as Social & Digital Specialist at RedPeg, Chief Marketing Officer at VT PRISM, and various marketing internships.
