Yogis at Gilliam Place

Featured Event
Keeping with our theme of living healthier lifestyles, we recently started a monthly yoga session at our Gilliam Place community. Every second Tuesday, members unroll their yoga mat, stretch their bodies and practice mindfulness together.
The class is taught by volunteer yoga instructor Ania Sowińska. Ania understands that trying something new, especially active, can be intimidating, so she takes an adaptive approach to her classes. Instead of forcing exercises and positions, adaptive yoga meets individual needs and focuses only on what each person is able to do.
Yoga has been proven to reduce anxiety and is a gentle way to increase exercise and improve body health. OSG members say that after class they feel much more relaxed, focused, and energized.
Although the class is hosted at Gilliam Place, all are welcome to join whether or not they’re a resident. However, because we prefer to keep the group small, we ask that you please sign up to reserve your space. Learn more on our event calendar here.
