Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

Learn the nuts and bolts of how to lease-up at one of the OSG communities. We currently have two communities opened in Alexandria and Arlington and are expecting four more opening in 2022 with leasing starting now until the Fall.

You are cordially invited to join us for a silent art auction in support of Our Stomping Ground.

We’re honored to be entrusted with over 40 pieces of original artwork donated to OSG by neurodiverse adults and their families, with special mention for contributing artist Amrit Khurana, a 26-year-old autistic woman based in India. Amrit’s beautiful work was featured in the award-winning documentary, The Reason I Jump, as part of the 2020 Sundance Festival.

In addition to these one-off pieces, you’ll enjoy delicious Italian delicacies and refreshments from the award-winning chef-owner of Orofino Restaurant in Fredericksburg, and a musical interlude thanks to the talents of Ellis Hamilton, a self-taught musician, composer, performer, and Berklee College of Music graduate.

Bidding will begin online, June 3rd at 12 PM and end June 5 at 2:30 PM. You can place your bids and view the catalog here.

The silent art auction will be held June 5th at 1 PM. Please click ‘Register’ to purchase your ticket.

If you’re a new renter or are exploring independent living, please join NOVA Housing and Supportive Services (VAHSS) and Our Stomping Ground to participate in a quarterly meet & greet, this time to discuss “The Nuts and Bolts of Moving.”

We’ll tour the outside of our new Waypoint community, then, we’ll explore how to organize your move to a new home and share some helpful planning tools.

Feel free to bring your dinner if you’d like. We’ll supply drinks and prepackaged snacks. We welcome masks and will have plenty of hand sanitizer. Families can drop off and pick up participants. Support persons are welcome to attend with individuals who need assistance to participate.
