Events Calendar
Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

For many disabled adults, an important aspect of living a self-determined life may be gaining more independence, but you don’t have to work towards these goals alone.
The Tech for Independent Living team is hosting a Zoom webinar to introduce their “free, fully customized lessons that support people with developmental disabilities to create full inclusion and participation in the community.” The program’s topics include daily living, transportation, employment, and public safety, and is led by the Arc of Northern Virginia.
This webinar will feature a virtual demo for disabled adults, and your families and caregivers, to learn more about how this program could support your personal goals for greater independence.

What: One-on-one travel training
Where: Zoom.
Are you interested in using local public transportation but maybe are unsure of the logistics involved? Have you never traveled alone, or feeling nervous in general? One-on-one travel training with an experienced professional may be for you!
Join us for a Zoom webinar to learn more about qualification requirements, the application process, and how the travel training program can help you become a confident and capable commuter.

Calling all dedicated film enthusiasts! The OSG Film Club meets virtually once a month to watch and discuss a “classic” movie of choice. This month’s classic is The Terminator.
To participate in this event, you’ll need to rent/purchase the movie from Amazon Prime beforehand AND download the free extension Teleparty on your Google Chrome browser so we can watch the movie together and chat!
If you need help setting up prior to the movie start, please join the Zoom meeting at 6pm so we can assist you. Otherwise, we’ll see you at 6:30pm via Zoom to touch base and start the movie!
