Events Calendar

Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

Unwind at the end of your day with our gentle breathing and stretching class for a soothing experience that promotes relaxation.

To prepare: There is nothing you need to bring in order to participate. Wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a water bottle is advised.

Meet up: This event will be taking place in the community room on the first floor of the Cadence. When you arrive, please message the Cadence Community Whatsapp group to request access to the locked building.

Parking: Guest parking at the Cadence is limited, so carpooling and using ride share or public transport is recommended. If you need to park your vehicle, please email josuea@ourstompingground.org in advance of the event for further instructions. Your vehicle is at risk of being towed otherwise!

Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on Whatsapp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the in-person event.

Contact: We will communicate changes of plans via Whatsapp, so please join the Cadence Community Whatsapp group to receive important event updates.

*Note: Sign-up is mandatory. Be sure to RSVP so we know to expect you.

2024 is an election year, so eligible and engaged voters are invited to attend a workshop to learn how to prepare for the polls and make your voice heard.

To prepare: You don’t need to bring anything besides any questions you have about the voting process.

Meet up: Since this a hybrid event, you can either attend virtually on Zoom OR in-person at the Waypoint in the first floor community room. For virtual participants, your confirmation email will include the Zoom link for the event. For in-person participants, a key is needed to enter the building, so please message the Waypoint Community Whatsapp group to be let in if you’re not a Waypoint resident.

Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, this event will be moved exclusively online. All event registrants will have received a Zoom link in their confirmation email just in case.

Parking: For in-person participants, free guest parking is available both at the Waypoint and at Fairlington Presbyterian Church next door.

Contact: We will communicate changes of plans via Whatsapp, so please join the Waypoint Community Whatsapp group to receive important event updates.
