Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.
Navy
We’re firm believers that community extends beyond the people in our lives – it also encompasses the world we live in and our individual impact on the environment. To that end, please join us as we work together to clean up Roosevelt Island- one of D.C.’s jewels. This is a great opportunity to learn about this historical landmark, create new friendships, and protect our community.
Details for attending:
We will meet in front of the bridge before heading over to the island. Trash bags, gloves, and garbage pickers will be provided by the amazing park ranger. Remember to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

OSG has partnered with BikeArlington so that you can easily explore your neighborhood, get in a little exercise, peddle off to work – whatever suits you! Join us to learn how to use the bikes safely, discover local routes, and get a FREE helmet and major discount on an annual Capital Bikeshare membership for only $5.
Where: The Cadence lobby (4333 Arlington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203)
When: We are meeting at 1pm, walking to the nearby bike rack together, and maybe riding around the local area. If you are late, please message the Whatsapp group to determine where we currently are.
To prepare: This event is free. Please dress comfortably and wear close-toed shoes. If you prefer bringing your personal safety gear (helmet, knee/elbow pads) you are welcome to do so.

Join our Herndon community for a walk together around the neighborhood and local trails!
Where: Arrowbrook Centre Park (2351 Field Point Rd, Herndon, VA 20171). This park is right by the Ovation at Arrowbrook.
When: We will meet at 1pm and walk for approximately an hour.
To prepare: Please wear comfortable walking shoes and feel free to bring a friend! Parking is free at the park, although spots may be limited.
