Our friends at Fairlington Presbyterian Church are hosting a film screening of The Reason I Jump! Based on the book by Naoki Higashida, this immersive film explores the experiences of non-speaking autistic people around the world.

It also features two of our very own Gilliam Place residents, Emma Budway and Ben McGann, who are generously offering their time for a Q&A panel following the film screening. Additionally, there will be art pieces for sale by Amrit Khurana, who is an autistic young woman and featured artist in the Reason I Jump.

Meet up: The film screening is taking place on the second floor of Fairlington Presbyterian Church, in the Social Hall. Free parking is available at the church on both sides of the building.

To prepare: This event is free, but please bring a form of payment if you’re interested in supporting Amrit by purchasing her artwork. *Please RSVP so we can get an accurate headcount.
