Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

Marine Corps Sunset Parade

The Marine Corps Sunset Parade is one of Washington’s many wonderful free events during the summer and well worth doing. Their famed Silent Drill Team is a highlight, but the parade also features The Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corps, also known as the Commandant’s Own. Lubber Run Park Concert: The 257th Army Band

The OSG crew is getting together to attend a free summer concert at Lubber Run Park! This Summer Concert series features free performances from a variety of genres including big band, blues, soul and orchestral music to the Lubber Run Amphitheater.  Learn more about the concert series here. Join OSG in a musical event where we’ll play drums and create rhythm together. Participants will get a chance to express themselves by playing a multitude of percussive instruments, while also creating a communal sound. Come out for our monthly Healthy Hangout at Lubber Run Park for some fresh air and good company. This is a great opportunity to get outside and connect with your community! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes while we walk and talk throughout the park and local neighborhood.  After our group walk, you are more than welcome to stay and chat or continue strolling around the park.
