Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

The Tech for Independent Living Team at The Arc of Northern Virginia creates free, fully customized, virtual lessons that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to create full inclusion and participation in the community. The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is coming to the The Arc of Northern Virginia! The DMV Connect teams are equipped to conduct all DMV transactions except vital records and testing. This includes obtaining your REAL ID driver’s license, regular drivers licenses, identification cards and vehicle titles & registrations, parking placards, and more.

To prepare: Depending on what services you need, there may be documents (originals, not photo copies) that will be required. Please prepare ahead of time by reviewing the DMV’s website.

Meet up: This event location is the main floor lobby meeting room room of The Arc of Northern Virginia offices.

Join Our Stomping Ground’s chair yoga class at Gilliam Place with certified yoga instructor, Ania. This adaptive yoga practice focuses on individual needs rather than forcing positions. Beginners are welcome!

To prepare: Please wear comfortable clothing. Bringing your own yoga mat is optional.

Meet up: We’ll meet in the Gilliam Place Community Room on the first floor. Contact: We will communicate changes of plans via Whatsapp, so please join the OSG Events Whatsapp group to receive important event updates.

Weather Cancellation: In case of unsafe weather conditions, an announcement will be made on Whatsapp at least 2 hours prior to the start of the outdoor event.
