Events Calendar
Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

You’re invited to our monthly movie night at our Queens Court community. Together we’ll watch High School Musical 3 and enjoy each other’s company. Please feel free to bring popcorn, snacks, blankets, or anything you need to be comfortable.
The movie night will be held in the Queens Court community room. All are welcome, however, it is mandatory to sign up so we have an accurate headcount and we ask that you please arrive at 6:30 PM sharp since a key card is needed to enter the building.

What: Dinner Club
Where: Lost Dog Cafe, 2920 Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA 22204. We will met outside Gilliam Place at 5:15 PM to walk together from there.

Our OSG Gilliam Place community is getting together on the third Thursday of every month to enjoy dinner together. All are welcome (including those not living at Gilliam Place)!
For our November outing, we’ll be going to Lost Dog Cafe and meet outside Gilliam Place at 5:15 PM to walk together from there. Please remember to bring a form of payment.

It’s another Bingo Night, so join us for a little friendly bingo competition! You might win a fun (and tasty) prize, kindly donated by our friends at Fairlington Presbyterian Church. Witches and wizards, goblins and ghouls, it’s time to get ready for our Halloween Spooktacular!
Join us on October 28th from 7 – 11 PM at the Fairlington Presbyterian Church, 3846 King St. Alexandria, VA 22302. Everyone 16 and over is welcome.
Step into an evening full of devilishly good fun, unexpected surprises, and otherworldly treats. Tickets include food, drinks, Halloween candy (d’oh, of course), plus an option to take a spin in an authentic DeLorean (yes, just like the one in Back to the Future!!) silent disco*, and more.
We will have two DeLoreans on site to ride in and two to take photos with. The first 20 people to sign up are guaranteed a ride. Additional rides will be offered first come, first served during the event.
Costumes are optional but highly encouraged. Who knows, you may win a prize…!😉
PRICE: [SOLD OUT] $30 early bird rate, $35 (purchased after October 17th) – All proceeds benefit programming for adults with disabilities.

DELOREAN RIDE SIGN UP – one rider per time slot
*For those not in the know, silent disco is where people dance to music they listen to on wireless headphones that we provide. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. This gives people the freedom to listen to whatever music genre they prefer instead of having to listen to songs or music they don’t like. If people want to dance they can, and if they don’t, that’s fine, too. Whatever makes them happy!
ACCESSIBILITY: Please note that due to essential construction work taking place at Fairlington Presbyterian Church, people with mobility issues will not be able to access the party. We’re extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that no one will be disappointed on the night.
