Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.
Salmon
Our OSG Herndon community is getting together each month to enjoy dinner together. This month, we’re going to Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern.

You’re invited to a movie night with our Queens Court community! Together we’ll watch this month’s group pick: Home Alone
Meet up: Please arrive by 6:00 PM and message the Movie Night Whatsapp group since a key card is needed to enter the building. After everyone has settled in, the movie will start promptly at 6:15PM.
To prepare: Please feel free to bring snacks, blankets, or anything you need to be comfortable.

OSG is heading to the National Zoo for the annual ZooLights!
Registration: Entering the National Zoo requires a $6 entry pass for the specific date of attendance, December 16th. You can get your entry pass online HERE. Registering with OSG is not enough!
Meetup: Please plan to arrive at the National Zoo by 6pm. We will meet near the Visitor Center, which is by the Connecticut Avenue entrance of the Zoo. You can view the Zoo map here.
You can purchase a parking pass for the Zoo for $30, but we recommend using Uber/Lyft or the metro. The nearest metro station to the National Zoo is Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Station, which is accessible by the red line.
What to bring: Please review the following information carefully!
-Attire: Everyone is encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress warmly since we’ll be walking mostly outdoors.
-Food/drink: We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, as well as a snack. Please bring a form of payment if you’d like to purchase something to eat or drink from the Zoo.
-Public transport: If you’re taking the metro, remember to bring your SmarTrip Card, or your Metro Access Card and a government id. Alternatively, you can bring cash/debit/credit card and purchase a roundtrip pass.

Our OSG Alexandria community is getting together each month to enjoy dinner together. Each month, we’ll choose a restaurant near one of our Alexandria properties. This month, we’re going to Taj of India near the Arden.

Our OSG Arlington community is getting together on the third Thursday of every month to enjoy dinner together. Each month, we’ll choose a spot near one of our Arlington properties. This month, we’re going to Ballston Quarter near the Cadence.
Meetup: Please meet at level C within Ballston Quarter at 5:30PM. This is a food court with several restaurants to order from. Everyone will order their own food from their restaurant of choice, and then we can sit and eat together in the dining hall.
To prepare: Please look at the restaurant options here if you’d like to plan where you want to order from. You are responsible for paying for your own order, so please remember to bring a form of payment!

You’re invited to a holly jolly evening showing off your holiday karaoke skills! Come out to sing popular holiday tunes, eat cookies, and drink hot cocoa.
Meet up: We’ll meet inside Arlington Presbyterian Church, which is located in the basement of Gilliam Place.
To prepare: Karaoke participation will require in-person sign-up at the event. Be sure to arrive on time to get your name on the list!

It’s another Bingo Night, so join us for a little friendly bingo competition and maybe win a prize!
Meet up: This is a virtual event so we will meet over Zoom. Please RSVP below if you plan to attend, and you will receive the Zoom link in your email inbox.
To prepare: You MUST RSVP by Thursday, December 14th in order to recieve a Bingo card and participate. It would be helpful to have Bingo chips or something similar (cheerios, bottle caps, beans, etc.) to use while playing.
Important: There is a limit of 30 players for Bingo Night and we cannot exceed that.

Our OSG Friends ages 21 and up are invited to OSG Nights– a series for adults to enjoy local nightlife as a crew. This time, we’re hanging out at Lost Boy Cider. Join the crew for some crisp cider!
