Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

You’re invited to an evening of games galore! Join our Arden community to play board games and video games!

To prepare: You don’t have to bring anything in order to participate, but, you’re welcome to bring your own games. Any video games compatible with the Nintendo Switch are especially encouraged.

Twice a month, OSG is hosting a Waypoint Wednesday at…you guessed it…the Waypoint! For this week, join us to enjoy a cozy campfire with hot cocoa and s’mores!

Meet up: Please meet outside Fairlington Presbyterian Church, on the side closer to King Street at 6pm. We recommend arriving on time to make sure you get some hot cocoa and treats before they run out!

To prepare: Just bring yourself and maybe a neighbor! The hot cocoa and treats are free, but supplies are limited.

Come create art in community at the Ovation each Saturday! It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbors and get crafty each week. The group will be led by Garine, our art therapist intern from GW.

Embark on a fun-filled journey of creative expression in our dance and theater improvisation class, where spontaneity and movement blend to set your imagination free.

To prepare: There is nothing you need to bring with you in order to participate. Wearing comfortable clothing and layers is advised.

Meet up: This event will be taking place in the community room on the first floor of the Cadence. When you arrive, please message the Cadence Community Whatsapp group to request access to the locked building.

Parking: Guest parking at the Cadence is limited, so carpooling and using ride share or public transport is recommended. If you need to park your vehicle, please email josuea@ourstompingground.org in advance of the event for further instructions. Your vehicle is at risk of being towed otherwise!

Join us for a monthly Healthy Hangout at Lubber Run Park for a lively walk and engaging conversations!

To prepare: Registration is free, and you can do so HERE. Please dress comfortably for the outdoor activity and the weather.

Our OSG Alexandria community is getting together each month to enjoy dinner together. Each month, we’ll choose a restaurant near one of our Alexandria properties. This month, we’re going to Chili’s near the Arden.
