Events Calendar

Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

You’re invited to a holly jolly evening showing off your holiday karaoke skills! Come out to sing popular holiday tunes, eat cookies, and drink hot cocoa.

Meet up: We’ll meet inside Arlington Presbyterian Church, which is located in the basement of Gilliam Place.

To prepare: Karaoke participation will require in-person sign-up at the event. Be sure to arrive on time to get your name on the list!

It’s another Bingo Night, so join us for a little friendly bingo competition and maybe win a prize!

Meet up: This is a virtual event so we will meet over Zoom. Please RSVP below if you plan to attend, and you will receive the Zoom link in your email inbox.

To prepare: You MUST RSVP by Thursday, December 14th in order to recieve a Bingo card and participate. It would be helpful to have Bingo chips or something similar (cheerios, bottle caps, beans, etc.) to use while playing.

Important: There is a limit of 30 players for Bingo Night and we cannot exceed that.

Our OSG Friends ages 21 and up are invited to OSG Nights– a series for adults to enjoy local nightlife as a crew. This time, we’re hanging out at Lost Boy Cider. Join the crew for some crisp cider!

Meet up: We’ll meet directly inside Lost Boy Cider at 5:30pm. Please contact the OSG Events Whatsapp group with any questions pertaining to this event.

To prepare: Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event, and their own payment for food and drinks. Please view the menu beforehand if you like to plan ahead.

Create in community through this group art therapy session led by Garine! We will explore using various art mediums that will encourage self expression and creativity.

Meet up: Please meet in the first floor club room at the Ovation at Arrowbrook. A key is needed to enter the building, so please message the Herndon Community Whatsapp group upon arrival if you’re not an Ovation resident, so you can be let in.

To prepare: It is advised that you wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting paint on and could possibly be stained.

Happy Friendsgiving! Let’s get together for a community dinner where we share some of our favorite holiday dishes.

Meet up: We’ll meet in the Arden Community Room (3rd floor). A key fob is needed to enter the building, so non-residents must message the OSG Event Whatsapp group upon arrival for assistance.

To prepare: In the spirit of Friendsgiving, we’re asking everyone who attends the event to also bring at least one item from this menu. There are items requiring various costs and preparation, and any questions about the menu can be directed to claudet@ourstompingground.org directly.

You’re invited to an evening of games galore! Join our Waypoint community to play board games and video games!

Meet up: This event will be taking place in the community room on the first floor of the Waypoint. When you arrive, please message the OSG Events Whatsapp group to request access to the locked building.

To prepare: You don’t have to bring anything in order to participate, but, you’re welcome to bring your own games. Any video games compatible with the Nintendo Switch are especially encouraged.

Get your thinking caps on because it’s time for trivia! There will be 3 categories this time: 1) Biomes, Ecosystems, and Habitats 2) Ancient Civilizations 3) Modern Movies

Roll your sleeves up to bake and decorate cookies at the Cadence!

Meet up: We’ll meet at the Community Room on the lobby-level of the Cadence at 7pm.

To prepare: All materials will be provided to participants. Please wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting a little messy!

Parking: Guest parking at the Cadence is limited, so carpooling and using ride share or public transport is recommended. If you need to park your vehicle, please email josuea@ourstompingground.org in advance of the event for further instructions. Your vehicle is at risk of being towed otherwise

Our OSG Arlington community is getting together each month to enjoy dinner together. Each month, we’ll choose a spot near one of our Arlington properties. This month, we’re going to Barley Mac near Queens Court. All are welcome (no matter where you live)!

Meetup: Please either meet at Queens Court at 5:20pm to walk over to the restaurant together or meet directly at Barley Mac at 5:30PM.

To prepare: Please look at the menu here if you’d like to review the dining options ahead of time. You are responsible for paying for your own order, so remember to bring a form of payment!
