Events Calendar

Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.

Join our Ovation community for a weekend hangout at Paris Baguette!

To prepare: If you’d like to purchase a drink, sandwich, or pastry, be sure to bring a form of payment. You can view their menu in advance here.

Meet up: If you want to walk from the Ovation together, please meet in the lobby by 9:50am. Or, you can meet us directly at Paris Baguette at 10am.

You’re invited to a movie night with our Queens Court community! Together we’ll watch this month’s group pick: Beauty and the Beast (2017 version; rated PG)

To prepare: Please feel free to bring snacks, blankets, or anything you need to be comfortable.

Meet up: Please arrive by 6:00 PM and message the Queens Court Community Whatsapp group since a key is needed to enter the building. After everyone has settled into the community room, the movie will start promptly at 6:15PM.

This Women’s History Month, Queens Court community is visiting the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Registration: In addition to submitting your RSVP with OSG, you MUST reserve a ticket from the museum website to participate in this event. Tickets for people with disabilities and their personal care attendants are FREE. Tickets for all other adults cost $16 each. You can reserve your ticket for the museum HERE. Please choose the 11am time slot.

Meetup: Our walking group will head out from Queens Court at 10am and take the blue/orange/silver metro line together from the Rosslyn metro station to the Metro Center station near the museum. If you are going to meet us directly at the museum, then plan to arrive at the museum entrance on New York Ave by 11am. Please note that public parking is limited in downtown DC, so using public transport or ride share is advised.

Meet up: Please meet outside Fairlington Presbyterian Church, on the side closer to King Street at 6pm. Come get a s’more and some hot cocoa before they run out!

Our Queens Court community and OSG peers are taking the metro together and exploring the historic neighborhood of Old Town Alexandria!

Meetup: Our group will meet outside Queens Court at 10am and take the blue metro line together from the Rosslyn station to the King Street-Old Town station. If you want to meet us directly at the King-Street Old Town station, then plan to arrive there by 11am.

Bring your A-game to the Ovation and join us to play video and board games in the community room!

To prepare: OSG will be providing several board games and a few video games compatible with the Nintendo Switch for everyone to share, but you’re welcome to bring your own favorite games as well!

Parking: Guest parking is available on the street as well as in the Ovation garage. Please avoid the parking lot across from the Ovation entrance as you will get towed.
