Events Calendar
Our Stomping Ground offers a variety of programs including book clubs, games nights, art and fitness classes and more. We are always adding new events. Be sure to explore our calendar and register for those programs that are of interest. Some events are open to just residents of a specific community, some are open to residents and Friends of OSG, and others are open to anyone in the Northern VA area.
Salmon
Twice a month, OSG is hosting a Waypoint Wednesday at…you guessed it…the Waypoint! For this week, join us to sip hot cocoa and paint Valentine’s Day themed decorations!
To prepare: It is advised that you wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting paint on and could possibly be stained. All supplies will be provided for free to participants.
Meet up: Please meet in the first floor community room at the Waypoint. A key is needed to enter the building, so please message the Waypoint Community Whatsapp group upon arrival if you’re not a Waypoint resident, so you can be let in.

Embark on a fun-filled journey of creative expression in our dance and theater improvisation class, where spontaneity and movement blend to set your imagination free.
To prepare: There is nothing you need to bring with you in order to participate. Wearing comfortable clothing and layers is advised.
Meet up: This event will be taking place in the community room on the first floor of the Cadence. When you arrive, please message the Cadence Community Whatsapp group to request access to the locked building.
Parking: Guest parking at the Cadence is limited, so carpooling and using ride share or public transport is recommended. If you need to park your vehicle, please email josuea@ourstompingground.org in advance of the event for further instructions. Your vehicle is at risk of being towed otherwise!

Come create art in community at the Ovation each Saturday! It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbors and get crafty each week. The group will be led by Garine, our art therapist intern from GW. All ages are welcome! This week, each one of you will have the opportunity to free-paint with watercolor and let your creativity run wild.

It’s another Bingo Night, so join us for a little friendly bingo competition and maybe win a prize!
To prepare: You MUST RSVP by Thursday, February 8th in order to recieve a Bingo card and participate. It would be helpful to have Bingo chips or something similar (cheerios, bottle caps, beans, etc.) to use while playing.

Important: There is a limit of 30 players for Bingo Night and we cannot exceed that.

Valentine’s Day is next week, so join our Arden community to create cards for the people we love! You’re also welcome to bring your own craft and hang out.

Join OSG as we celebrate the opening night of the 11th Annual Film Festival, hosted by ReelAbilities – an organization dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with disabilities through film.

Our OSG Arlington community is getting together each month to enjoy dinner together. Each month, we’ll choose a spot near one of our Arlington properties. This month, we’re going to Ballston Quarter.
To prepare: Please look at the restaurant options here if you’d like to plan where you want to order from. You are responsible for paying for your own order, so please remember to bring a form of payment!
Meetup: Please meet at level C within Ballston Quarter at 5:30PM. This is a food court with several restaurants to order from. Everyone will order their own food from their restaurant of choice, and then we can sit and eat together in the dining hall.
